Web Infrastructure Engineer

BNP Paribas is looking for a Web Infrastructure Engineer focused on IBM IIS scope to reinforce the Web Infra Tooling & Hosting squad. The squad is part of the IT Middleware Services Tribe works with the Web Design squad for the technical design, installation, set-up, industrialization, management, support, and documentation of the BNP Paribas Fortis Web Application Hosting Infrastructure.

Mission:

The Web Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for:

• Managing and operating complex existing WebSphere infrastructure
• Set-up of lab, development, test, qualification, and production platforms
• Planning, Follow-up, Deploy, Test, Acceptance, Industrialization, Training, Handover to Operations and Services Management
• Integrating new applications on the Web infrastructure
• Restoring the servicing (by restarting the application or the machines, isolating unstable components, …)
• Emergency Deployment of application, patching, modification of parameters
• Incident and Problem management
• Participating in the identification of the root cause of an incident and the elaboration (and the implementation) of a solution and if not possible to perform a work-around
• Participating to the introduction of incidents, and their follow-up, with suppliers (IBM mainly)
• Change Management
• Certificate Management
• Asset Management
• Patch Management
• Participating in the industrialization of our assets
  • Project management/project lifecycle/project methodology skills required

What qualities do we look for?

As a Web Security Infrastructure Engineer, we expect good knowledge in the following areas:

• At least 3 years of strong experience in a similar position, preferably in the banking
• At least 3 years of experience in Web Security/Hosting
• A professional experience of at least 5 years
• Solid and proven experience with the following Web technologies: WAS, IBM IIS, Tomcat, certificate management and Dynatrace
• Generic knowledge on: Web access management, anti-virus, PKI, firewalls, application firewalls, load balancers, networks, DMZ
• Good understanding of infrastructure security
• Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure would be a plus
• Very good communication skills in English (oral and written); knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus
• Agile Methodology (Spotify flavor) previous experience is a plus
• Preferable to be able to understand bank related business processes and assess impacts on business
• ITIL Foundation knowledge will be desirable
• On site presence (hybrid mode) and on call support is expected
